The end of a busy few weeks...
The Last few weeks have been busy ones with visiting puppies sired by Sunni, future owners visiting, Crufts and The Border Collie Club of GB Special events weekend...
First off we visited Adam Akester's beautiful litter of puppies to help make the final decision on who Adam was keeping! So we would like to introduce Nora & Eric. Nora is owned by Adam Akester whilst Eric will be in joint ownership between, Mark, Carol and Adam.
Next we went to Crufts, it was a lovely day where we had the chance to catch up with friends from abroad and finally meet Monika (Larry's owner from the Czech republic).
Results were good with Gracee gaining 2nd place in an outstanding Open Bitch Class behind a bitch we have always respected (Aculsia Turn My Swag On) and Katie and the Lovely Flash gained an excellent 3rd place in Junior gaining their qualification for 2017. We are extremely proud of the two of them on making her debut at Crufts.
GB Special events weekend brought some highs and some lows for us.
We were delighted for Paddy and his progeny to be placed 2nd in the sire & progeny class, Blax & her progeny to place 2nd in the Dam and progeny Class. Sunni Placed 2nd in the Gaited Male Class and Blax 3rd in the Gaited Female Class, Tangle was our star of the properties classes winning Best Headed female, Best Owner, Bred & Handled Female and Overall Best Headed.
Gracee placed 2nd in the Best Owner, Bred Handled Female Class and Dickens 3rd in the Gaited Male Class.
At the Border Collie Of the Year event we were delighted with all our dogs scores. With Dickens been 3rd Top scoring Male and Sunni 2nd Highest scoring Male. Paddy enjoyed a day out and Judge Judith Gregory described him as her highlight of the day.
The following day was the Champ Show. Darwin showed his cheeky side but won a respectable Reserve Best Veteran In Show behind the Best In Show Winner. Gladys won a strong Junior bitch class and the star of the day was Gracee who won the open bitch class and the RCC. (photographed below)
