Caleykiz Border Collies 

Paddy is by far our dream come true.

He is our 6th home bred Show Champion and it was a long and hard journey getting there.

Paddy was the last born in Daizie's only litter and entered the show ring at 6 months old with some success gaining Best Puppy in Breed at Three Counties 2005 under Stuart Mallard. Unfortunately during the week after his BPIB, Paddy's world changed. Whilst out for a walk at our local res he was severley attacked by a group of dogs whilst he was on his lead, it took us and the dogs' owner everything to get them off him. As a result he became worried of other dogs especially running dogs, which as you can imagine it wasn't easy in the show ring.

Paddy took a break from the show ring and went to one on one training and we encouraged to become the happy, playful dog he was before he was attacked. It was a very long road but we were getting there and he was becoming happy to be back in the show ring

Three years after the attack, our first dream came true under renowed breed specialist Pam Harris, where she awarded him the dog CC at EABCC. One year later, Paddy returned to EABCC and went one better winning the dog CC & BISS under breed specialist Jo Ratcliffe.

For the next 3 & 1/2 years Paddy was selectively shown to some good placings. But on 29th Sept '11, our dream came true. Paddy went to Driffield Champ show under breed specialist Ross Green and won Open dog and the Dog CC.

An emotional day none of us at Caleykiz will ever forget! Thank you to all of those who have believed in our

beautiful Paddy and supported us along a his journey to what we consider greatness.
